Riverston School

Bespoke Learning for Life

We hope everyone is well, following Government and Health Authority advice to socially isolate and coping with the COVID-19 shutdown. It is an unprecedented situation that we all face as a nation.

According to the most recent scientific advice on how to further limit the spread of COVID-19, all children, even if they do fall into the category of being vulnerable, should remain at home and stay safe. The advice clearly states that:

…“the fewer children making the journey to school, and the fewer children in educational settings, the lower the risk that the virus can spread and infect vulnerable individuals in the wider society.”

To this end, Riverston School has now officially closed in line with DfE and Government guidance, and our staff are working from remote locations for the foreseeable future

We are supporting our existing students via email, our own ‘Learning from Home’ hub on the school website and specialist staff will be available to provide mental health support and personal advice, etc. If you would like to make contact with us, the most efficient way is via email in the first instance.

Thank you for all the support that you have given the school during these difficult times and for the numerous good wishes we have received from appreciative parents for the manner in which we have dealt with this unique situation. We look forward to welcoming our returning students as soon as possible and will be in contact with you as we are given the go ahead to re-open. Please continue to read the latest communications for parents on the Parents tab of the website. The Learning from Home Hub is now live with resources and learning materials for pupils to access from home.

With every good wish to all our pupils, parents and friends. Please keep yourselves safe and healthy.
