Summer Catch Up Programme

On this section of the Learning from Home Hub, you will find information relating to additional work tasks for pupils to complete during the summer holiday.

Year 6 and Key Stage 3

For pupils in Years 6-9, we have prepared an optional ‘Summer Holiday Catch-Up Learning Programme’ which pupils can follow, should they wish to continue with their studies throughout the holiday, in an attempt to further catch-up on the time missed in school.

For the first week of the holiday, beginning Monday 13th July, core subject teachers have prepared an additional week of pre-recorded introductory videos.

English, Maths, Science, Topic, French and ICT teachers have also prepared a 6 week set of learning instructions for pupils to complete throughout the holiday.

Please click the sub-heading 'Key Stage 3' to find these videos and instructions.

Key Stage 4 and 5

For pupils in Years 10 and 12, we have prepared an essential ‘Summer Holiday Catch-Up Learning Programme’ which pupils should follow, in order to continue with their studies throughout the holiday, in an attempt to further catch-up on the time missed in school.

For the majority of GCSE and A Level subjects, teachers have prepared a 6 week set of learning instructions for pupils to complete throughout the holiday, accompanied with pre-recorded video introductions. All BTEC subject teachers have also prepared a 6 week set of learning instructions, with further information and attachments to be sent via email directly from the teachers. Teachers will be able to provide feedback on this work completed at the start of next term.

Year 10 pupils: Please click the sub-heading 'Key Stage 4' to find these videos and instructions.

Year 12 pupils: Please click the sub-heading 'Key Stage 5' to find these videos and instructions.

We hope that by completing this additional work, pupils will feel confident to return in September, without a further hiatus in their learning, usually caused by the summer holiday. Many thanks for your continued support.
