Welcome to our Parents Association

Riverston School Parents Association is a registered charity and our aim is to raise funds for the school’s extra curricular activities.  We have recently provided stage lighting, ICT equipment, flat screen televisions, various play equipment for the Lower school and games for the Middle/Upper school, together with financial contributions towards an in-house theatre production plus Enrichment Week which is held at the end of the school term.

Fund Raising

We raise funds throughout the year by hosting events such as the Christmas Fair, raffles, creating and selling school calendars, second hand school uniform and more recently signed on to The Giving Machine. Please take a look at this website and join up to start contributing money to the school. www.thegivingmachine.co.uk

Distribution of Funds

The Committee hold regular meetings throughout the year, with the AGM usually held in the Autumn term.  At these meetings we decide which events/activities can be organised during the year and also how we spend the money within the school to best benefit the children.

Aims

This year we will start to raise funds towards a mini bus for the children.

How you can help

There are a small number of parents involved in the Parents Association at the moment and we are looking to encourage more input from parents.  Help can come in many forms whether it be an hour of your time, an idea for fundraising or advising of possible donations etc.

Also, it would be great to see more support at various parents’ events such as quiz and talent evenings!

Let us know what you think.
