Mr Allen Completes the 2012 London Marathon

Mr Allen and his friend Tony Harryman, carried a symbolic blue head the 26 miles of the London Marathon course on Sunday 22 April. In doing so, they have raised more than £15,000 for the Head, Neck and Throat Cancer Community Group. This painful and enduring feat was completed to make more people aware of the disease which ended the life of his borther-in-law, Nigel Morgan who was only 40 years of age when he died, and to help Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital gain more money to enable them to research the causes and hopefully cure this awful disease.

More than 37,500 runners started the race, and in total £50million will be raised through sponsorship money which will benefit so many worthwhile charities and organisations. Since the first race 32 years ago, 850,000 people have completed the course. Mr Allen can now proudly say that he is one of a select number of runners who have done this!  Well done and huge congratulations. We are very proud of you.
